Photo by Abra gallery A selection of artworks by the top 30 Iranian artists will go on display at the ABRA Gallery in Los Angeles in an exhibit entitled SNAC (The Social Network Art Competition) opening March 10. In September 2011, the Artexpo Tehran website in cooperation with the ArtPeople Gallery in San Francisco held an online competition for Iranian artists aiming to introduce Iranian artists to the world, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Sunday. The jury including the internationally acclaimed contemporary sculptor Guy Clement Cohen, and Iranian artists Hesam Abrishami and Ali Me’mar selected works submitted by artists in the different fields of painting, drawing, photography, illustration and video art. Bahareh Bisheh, Navid Sanati, Maryam Zarnegar, Faraz Fallahi, Assal Fallah, Davood Mantegh, Farhad Hedayat, and Omid Fazeli are among the artists whose works have been selected for the show. The selected works were first displayed at the Farvahar Gallery in Tehran. The show will later travel from ABRA Gallery to the Artpeople Gallery to be displayed from March 22 to 31.
